From the creator of Girlfriends and The Game comes the story of Mary Jane Paul, the quintessential Single Black Female. She seems to have it all; a beautiful home, a fancy sports car, the shoes, intelligence, drive and a successful career as a TV news anchor but something is missing from her American Dream. She lacks one thing that makes her a part of the statistic the show is named for.
 
LOGO DESIGN:
 The main character has the habit to write motivation quotes on post-its and sticking around the house. My task was to come up with a logo that preserve the character's sophistication but stil keeping her human touch.
PROMO CONCEPT : WHAT IS THE REAL MARY JANE?
Who is really Mary Jane Paul? Who does she really wants to be? This bold concept will communicate the idea that there is more behind what you see on your screen. Mary Jane close ups behind the graphic will show characteristics of herself without revealing the entire truth.
PROMO CONCEPT 2: SEEING THROUGH GLASS
The duality of Mary Jane Paul is seeing through a glass. This concept shows her subconscious struggle to be someone different from her actions.
This could be possible by using two scenes from the show. The first scene is when she state her ideal being. The scene gets removed as if it's being seeing from a glass screen revealing the second scene when she shows her real self.
